Facet Foundation
The FACET Foundation is the continuation of SEON Foundation. Over the past fifteen years it developed innovative concepts and projects on providing financial and non-financial services to small and medium enterprises worldwide. From its establishment in 1994, SEON developed and executed pilot projects and programmes in the field of SME promotion, entrepreneurship development and business creation in the Netherlands. It also rendered direct assistance and advisory services to starting (migrant) entrepreneurs. Clients included the European Commission, European Social Fund, private institutions (such as Start Foundation, VSB Fund, DOEN Foundation), Fortis Bank and Dutch municipalities.
Triodos Facet assisted in the creation and strategic development of this Foundation. Triodos Facet has also provided practice based knowledge and experience on the basis of which Business Creation Programmes, Business Development Services and Small Enterprise Support Tools were developed and introduced. Examples of products and programmes developed and implemented are the “SOS entrepreneurs programme”, the “SEON SME guarantee fund”, the “IntEnt Programme” and “Refugees in Business programme”.
